Andhra Pradesh Government has allowed 100% occupancy and Second Shows in film theaters. We have seen producers lining up to thank the Government as if it is a landmark decision. Interestingly, this is a problem created by the Government and is not even completely resolved (Ticket Prices issue still resolved).
Telangana Government has allowed 100% occupancy and Second shows a long ago. Jagan Government intentionally delayed it to trouble the industry. For an instance, Sakhi has prominently carried an interview of Producer Bunny Vas thanking the Government and taking its side on this issue.
At one stage, he even went on to say – “We should come up with ways to increase revenue for Government (from the industry) so that we can ask them for more help citing the revenue”. Incidentally, the same Bunny Vas has openly criticized Chandrababu Naidu for a silly issue like the Nandi awards.
Industry’s reaction to this issue is implying that Jagan’s way of dealing with the industry is right and the industry does not deserve the respect Chandrababu Naidu gave it, TDP sources say.
