Telecom Operators not cooperating with AP Police!Reports are emerging that the Telecom Operators are not cooperating with Andhra Pradesh Police on the issue of Phone Tapping. It is known that they were asked to report at Bhavanipuram Police Station, Vijayawada to face a questionnaire regarding the Phone tapping and Telangana government involvement.

It is said that notices were sent to about a dozen Telecom operators but not even half of them came down to the interrogation. Those who attended were grilled for more than 6 hours but it is said that they were not so cooperative either. It is said that Uninor and Vodafone companies have agreed to give the call data to the Police.

Some of the Telecom Operators have sent in their lawyers on their behalf who are of not a great help. The minutes of the meeting will be sent to the DGP as well as the Chief Minister who will be deciding the future course of action on the reluctant Telecom Operators. There are rumours in the political circles that Telangana government had called for a meeting of Telecom Operators well before the AP government notices and warned them against giving any sensitive information.
