Polavaram-KCRTelangana government is all set to register two new objections for the ongoing Polavaram project of Andhra Pradesh. Recently AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu asked irrigation officials to explore the possibilities of increasing the project by 15 feet from the proposed +150 feet.

Telangana government says the project at +150 feet itself is a threat for all the tribal tracks and the famous Srirama temple in Bhadrachalam and another 15 feet is raised, there is a danger for the entire Khammam district. Telangana is gearing up to complain about this to Central Water Commission and Godavari River Management Board.

Telangana government also has apprehensions on the lift irrigation which will divert additional 80 TMC ft of Godavari water to Krishna Delta.
