AP Bhavan Hyderabad Telangana KCR Land AllotmentTelangana Cabinet has decided to provide One Lakh Square Feet of working space to Andhra Pradesh Secretariat at an alternate location for giving back the current secretariat buildings. AP Government has all rights on these buildings for 10 years after the bifurcation and can refuse to vacate them. But then the state government has decided to give them in compliant with his earlier decision of ‘Give and Take’ Policy between both the Telugu States.

Telangana government is planning a state of art secretariat in the place of current buildings. Once Andhra Pradesh government handovers the buildings, they will be demolished and the construction will begin. Andhra Pradesh has a minimal number of staff working in the current Secretariat buildings in Hyderabad.

Gruhakalpa in Nampally or Gaganvihar may be the alternate accommodation for AP government offices. Telangana government is also considering giving land for AP Bhavan in Hyderabad like the present AP Bhavan in Delhi. The Terms and conditions of this allotment are yet to be decided. Telangana government is also planning to ask to give back the buildings of Secretariat, Assembly, Council and offices of HODs as the entire administration is being shifted to Velagapudi very soon.

Famous Architect Hafeez Saeed is appointed as the Master Architect for the new secretariat. The foundation stone for the new secretariat will be laid in the next month and will be completed in one year time. KCR government has taken up this new secretariat as the current buildings have serious Vaastu defects and also for administration convenience.
