Telangana Tops in Digital Transactions over IndiaTelangana state made the highest cashless transactions in the last five months and stood top in India to make use of technology for their economic transactions. A central government’s initiative, Electronic Transaction Aggregation & Analysis Layer reported that the state is ahead in digital transactions after the demonetization.

Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya stated that Telangana government has been working profusely to become the cashless society and had conducted several workshops which helped in training thousands of villagers along with spreading awareness on digitalization in the rural areas. He said that the state succeeded in making people open their bank accounts which are about 50 Lakhs in numbers.

Reports say that Telangana has recorded over fifteen crore digital transactions after the demonetization move. Officials reported that this move has helped the state to recover from the cash crunch and there by improved the tax revenue by making the transactions clear.
