Telangana to Take over 142 Assets from Andhra Pradesh in next 2 MonthsArmed with the orders of Union Home Ministry regarding the sharing of assets on the location basis, Telangana government is busy preparing a roadmap to take over buildings and land owned by 142 institutions listed in Schedule 10 of the AP Reorganization Act.

The order is for sharing of higher education council assets but then Telangana government is implying the same to all those institutions listed in Schedule 10 of the AP Reorganization Act. Telangana government is keen on taking over the assets in two months.

All the departments were directed to prepare an inventory of 142 institutions and submit data to finance department, which forced departments to act. The state government is planning to convey its displeasure to the Centre over the inordinate delay by AP if they do not comply.

On the other side, Andhra Pradesh government is planning to approach the Supreme Court once again as the Union Home Ministry’s directive is against the court’s earlier order which asked the assets to be divided on Population Basis.
