Telangana-To-Shut-Down,-Announces-Relief-to-the-PoorTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao announced the State lockdown. The Chief Minister asked the people to stay home till March 31st to check the spread of Novel Coronavirus. Only one person per house will be allowed to go out and buy necessities.

The State Government had decided to give 12 Kgs Rice to every person who is below the poverty line. The state will distribute 3,36,000 tonnes of Rice under this scheme. Every Ration Card in the state will be given 1500 Rupees to purchase the essentials. Government employees were asked to work on a rotation basis and only 20 percent were asked to attend duties

Only those who are emergency services like Health and Power have to attend the work. The Government asked all the private companies to ensure complete payments to their employees during this lockdown period. The entire public transport including RTC buses, Metro Rail Services, cabs, and autos will be shut,

The Chief Minister also announced that the state would try to send the necessary supplies to Anganwadis and the pregnant women who are ready for delivery will be taken special care. All the State Borders will be shut – only those vehicles bringing essentials to the state will be allowed.
