Telangana To Have Six More AirportsTelangana Municipal Minister K Taraka Ramarao had announced that the State would very soon get Three Greenfield Airports and start operations at the existing ones. He also announced a chain of Heliports to connect the remote parts of the State.

The new Greenfield Airports will come up at Kothagudem, Jakranpally in Nizamabad and Gudibanda village of Addakkal Mandal in Mahabubnagar. Existing Airports at Warangal, Basanthnagar in Peddapally, and Adilabad will be developed and operationalized soon.

The State Government already appointed the Airports Authority of India as a consultant to study the techno-feasibility for the existing airstrips as well as the greenfield ones.. The development of smaller airports will lead to the improvement of various businesses.

For instance, Warangal Airport will help the Textile Industry to usher. It will support the mega textile park and the information technology hub launched in the city.
