TS Government Lodges Complaint on EoDB RankingsTelangana Government has registered a complaint with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) of Ministry of Commerce and Industry saying that there are some discrepancies in the recent Ease of Doing Business Rankings.

Telangana Government says there are some calculation errors which deprived the state of the First Rank. The State Government said it should be the joint first rank holder along with Andhra Pradesh. It has also pointed out that similar errors pushed Jharkhand to the Fourth Position while it should be in third and Madhya Pradesh which should be in the Sixth Place is actually placed in Seventh.

Despite some letters, Ministry of Commerce did not respond to these apprehensions. The State Officials have met the concerned officials in Delhi on Friday but they did not respond. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is serious on this and asked the MPs to raise the issue in Parliament as well.

Andhra Pradesh is some decimals ahead of Telangana in the recently released rankings which But thas become indigestible for the State government given that both the sides are being extremely competitive after the bifurcation. But then, it has to be seen if the ranks can be corrected at this stage.
