Telangana Government has taken an impressive step to help the Journalist working on the frontline of Coronavirus Pandemic. The Government had provided journalists with a protection kit. The safety kit includes One Face Shield, One N95 Mask, Five Three-Ply Masks, Two Sanitiser Bottles, and a pair of gloves.
The Kit was provided with the pictures of Chief Minister KCR and Telangana Minister, KT Ramarao. This step assumes significance as several journalists in Delhi and Mumbai were tested positive for the contagious virus after reporting from ground zero. Media has been the least-bothered frontline sector during the Corona Crisis.
While people have been appreciating the other departments, the job of media is going unnoticed. It is good that the Telangana Government has become considerate for them. It has been a long-standing demand from the journalists to conduct Corona tests for all those who are working in Telangana.
According to the Medical Bulletin released last night, Telangana just recorded two cases in 24 hours taking the total cases to 1,003. There are allegations that the state is not doing enough testing and many cases are remaining unearthed as a result.
