The schedule for the crucial Manugode By-election is out. The Central Election Commission had released the schedule. The polling will happen on November 3rd.
That means we have exactly one month to go. The notification will be out on 7th of this month and the nomination will be taken until 14th.
The nominations scrutiny will happen on 15th and 17th is the last date of nominations withdrawal.
All the major political parties already started their campaign and it will get further louder in the next few days. The By-election got necessitated due to the resignation of Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy who defected from Congress to BJP.
Surveys indicate that TRS is slightly ahead in the election but BJP is also quickly catching up. All surveys are projecting Congress at third position which if true, will a position of no redemption.
The election is considered as the semifinal for Telangana Assembly election that happens next year. Whichever party wins the election will carry the momentum to the assembly election.
