Telangana government is gearing to demolish some buildings in the existing secretariat. The government is also waiting for the Andhra Pradesh government to hand over the buildings under its control both in the secretariat complex and elsewhere in the city. The government will very soon finalize a time soon to begin demolition of the existing secretariat complex.

This muhurath is expected to be in one of the several auspicious days and muhurats coming up after the Deepavali festival on October 30. On the other side, the main opposition party, Congress is planning to approach the high court to prevent the demolition of the secretariat citing that the government is wasting hundreds of crores of public money in the name of ‘vaastu’ at a time when farmers, patients and students in the state were facing several problems.
