Telangana-Registers-Highest-Number-of-Cases-in-A-Single-DayTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao dropped a bomb in the Press Meet a little while ago. The total number of Coronavirus cases which are at 45, according to the Medical Bulletin last night at 8 PM now has gone up to 59. Four more cases have recorded overnight and ten cases were registered today until now.

This is the highest spike in the number of cases in a Single Day as far as Telangana is concerned and the day is still not over. This is despite the fact that the state is in a complete lockdown. “People of the state are cooperating with us if not, the situation could have got even worse. Request everyone to understand the gravity of the situation,” the Chief Minister said.

The Chief Minister said the only way to contain the spread of coronavirus is social distancing and maintaining hygiene. “We have 11000-bed isolation facility ready. 1400 critical care beds are ready. We have ordered 500 ventilators more. It is a war against a demon, and we are working day and night to defeat it,” the Chief Minister said.

Around 20,000 people have been under surveillance either in voluntary-home quarantine or in government-run isolation centers.
