Telangana Police are reportedly mulling the option of withdrawing the security being provided to AP Ministers and MLAs residing in Hyderabad. This comes in the wake of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu relieving Telangana Police from his security cover and using AP police in their place after the concerns of Phone tapping.
Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma and CP Mahinder Reddy met Governor a short while ago and clarified him that it is the duty of Telangana Police to take care of Law and Order in Hyderabad. They clarified him that AP Police can not function in Hyderabad.
In case AP Police are not withdraw from Chandrababu’s security cover, they are threatening to remove all Police security to AP offices, Ministers and MLAs in Hyderabad. A notice regarding the same may be issued to AP government very soon.
