Telangana, Telangana Agrees Share Assets Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Agrees Share Assets AP, KCR Agrees Share Assets Andhra PradeshTelangana government seems to have given up hope on the assets of the institutions under Section 10 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. Earlier the government has planned to file a curative petition in the Supreme Court over this but it is thinking on the lines to drop the idea and go for assets sharing with AP.

Earlier in March, Supreme Court asked both the states to divide them in Population Ratio. But Telangana government is keen on having them divided on Geographical Basis. Since most of these institutions are in Hyderabad, Telangana will get a lion’s share of these assets naturally. Telangana government recently filed a Review Petition over this in the Supreme Court but the Apex refused to take it into consideration.

Then one more petition was filed by the State Higher Education Council (SHEC) asking the court to review its judgement but then Supreme court dismissed the petition as there are ‘no merits’ to reconsider. Given that the result may be the same for the curative petition as well, Telangana government is thinking on the lines to avoid embarrassment.
