The State’s new Secretariat will be inaugurated by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on February 17. KCR will inaugurate the Telangana State Secretariat complex named after B R Ambedkar.
On Sunday, State Roads and Buildings Minister V Prashanth Reddy said in a release that it has been decided to inaugurate the newly constructed Dr. B R Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat Building on February 17 on the day of the birthday of CM K Chandrasekhar Rao. He will inaugurate the new Secretariat.
KCR laid the foundation stone for the construction of the new Secretariat building here at the existing location near Hussain Sagar lake in June 2019.
The complex coming up is in its final stage of completion and is spread over seven lakh square feet. The total cost of constructing the new secretariat is about Rs. 600 crores.
