Telangana Rajya Sabha MP, Banda Prakash has been booked for cheating and misappropriation of funds of Alluri Trust in Hanmakonda. Police booked a case for allegedly misappropriating Rs 12.22 Lakhs of the trust.
Alluri Trust runs Alluri Institute of Management Sciences (AIMS) in Hanmakonda and offers MBA. Over 200 students are enrolled for the course. VI additional judicial first-class magistrate of Warangal directed to book the cases.
A person named Mallareddy approached the court alleging that the trust had committed fraud in the payment of income tax during the financial years 2016-17 and 2017-18. After ascertaining the available details, the court directed to file the case under relevant sections.
Two other auditors were also booked along with the MP. The development came a day after TRS MP Maloth Kavitha is convicted for bribing the voters in 2019 elections.
