Telangana High Court Clears Way for KCR’s Dream Project

Share

Telangana High Court has cleared all the hurdles for Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao’s Dream Project – the New Secretariat. The High Court this moring dismissed a batch of PILs filed against the state cabinet’s decision to construct a new secretariat complex in the place of the old secretariat building.

The old Secretariat has 10 huge blocks that housed the entire state government administration in Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. After the state bifurcation, five blocks were allotted to Andhra Pradesh and four to Telangana. The G Block which is in dilapidated condition was left idle.

Chandrababu Naidu did not handover the blocks despite not using them. He tried to use those blocks as bargain chips for several contentious issues between both the states. But Jagan handed over those blocks to Telangana Government immediately after coming to power.

Telangana Secretariat is operating from Temporary Buildings particularly from Boorgula Ramakrishna Rao Bhavan for several months now. With the Government order, the government may demolish the buildings and start the constructions unless someone approaches the Supreme Court.
