Telangana Govt Should Emulate Chennai Model To Control Corona?

Share

Telangana Government seems to have taken a flip-flop about imposing another Lockdown in Hyderabad. A few days ago, in a Review meeting, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao said that the issue will be taken up in the Cabinet meeting and a decision will be taken.

Nothing happened later on and KCR is away from the Public for more than ten days now. Now, it looks like the Telangana Government had dropped the decision. Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav in a media interaction said that a Lockdown will be of no use for Hyderabad.

“Corona will come and go. The government alone can not control Corona. People will need to take the necessary measures. Minister Mahmood Ali, Deputy Speaker Padma Rao, and Congress Senior Leader V Hanumantha Rao are the examples. Only those who do not have physical fitness will be troubled by Corona,” he said.

Meanwhile, experts say that the rate of transmission in red zones of Chennai has come down. And a higher doubling rate indicating slowing down of the infection in the capital city of Tamil Nadu. “Definitely lockdown & increased testing has paid off,” Experts say. It looks like the Telangana Government is failing to wake up to reality.
