Telangana Government Owes 50000 Crore to NizamsThe heirs of Nizam Family is still waging a battle with the Telangana government for the compensation they have to get for the lands taken over by the state and central governments after the Police Action in September 1948.

Nizams have 23253 acres back then taken over by the governments. Out of that, the state government had claimed to have purchased 15,964 acres from the Nizam in March 1956 for a consideration of 4 lakh. But there are no proofs of the transaction even though the state claims to have paid the money.

Nawab Mir Najaf Ali Khan, the grandson of the seventh Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan is gearing up to wage a legal battle on Telangana government. The present market value of which is pegged at over 50000 crores. It will be really tough for the government if the case meets a logical conclusion.
