COVID Crisis in Telangana Where The Cases Are MoreGandhi Hospital in Secunderabad is the only designated COVID-19 Hospital for the entire Telangana. The hospital is taking the burden of patients from all the districts until now. The staff in the hospital even staged a protest to decentralize to ease pressure on them.

After a lot of resistance, the Telangana Government finally decided to do decentralize the Corona cases. “The treatment for serious patients requiring even ventilator support will be started in Districts government hospitals. This will help decongest pressure on Gandhi hospital in Hyderabad,” the Director of Medical Education announced.

He also added that TIMS hospital will start examining COVID suspects with symptoms. “The mild cases will be advised home or institutional isolation, serious cases to be sent to Gandhi Hospital,” he added. The DME also announced that the state is working to set up an exclusive plasma bank for convalescent plasma therapy for COVID treatment.

“Works have begun and guidelines are being made for the same,” he said. According to the medical bulletin released last night, there are a total of 36,221 confirmed Corona cases in the state. The contagious virus so far claimed 365 lives.
