Telangana Elections Only in 2019?Rumours are rife in the Regional Media Circles that Telangana Elections may not be held in this year much to the disappointment of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao. Speculations are that KCR already got a sniff about the postponement.

While dissolving the Assembly, KCR announced that he will be attending 100 Public Meetings in the coming 50 days. But then except for one meeting, TRS’ Campaign did not progress forward aiding those rumours. BJP seems to be playing a spoilsport in this issue.

This seems to be a sort of blackmail to force Telangana Rashtra Samiti into a Pre-Poll alliance with the Saffron Party. Clarity on this may emerge in the coming days. If at all the elections are postponed to the next year, it will be a huge disappointment for KCR who dissolved the assembly only because he did not want to give time for the Opposition to Prepare. Postponing the elections will exactly give that.

On the other side, TRS leaders put up a brave face saying that the elections will happen as planned and the campaign of KCR will intensify once the Opposition announces their candidates so as to prevent Rebel leaders of TRS going to other parties.
