Congress high command had changed the Telangana PCC President earlier this month. Congress supporters have pinned high hopes on the complete revamp of the party leadership after the arrival of AICC secretary and in charge of Telangana Congress Rama Chandra Khuntia to Hyderabad.
But then, Kuntia clarified that there will not be any change of leadership in the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee. There is a severe discontent in the party cadre over the current leadership. Uttam Kumar Reddy is proved ineffective and Jana Reddy is seen as too meek and mild.
Khuntia is well versed in state politics as had worked as deputy to former Telangana in-charge Digvijay Singh. He knows almost all district presidents of the party and heads of frontal organizations. It has to be seen if he changes the fortunes of the main opposition party in Telangana.
