Telangana CM KCR's Statement About The Second LockdownTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao made a crucial announcement in the state assembly regarding the second wave and a possible Lockdown. “Telangana is one of the best states while tacking COVID-19. We have increased the testing. We regretfully closed the educational institutions and hostels,” KCR said.

“We had to close the educational institutions and hostels with no more option and that is also temporary. We had extended some help to the film industry. They are very much worried about the closure of theaters. We have given clarity to help them,” the Chief Minister added.

“Across the globe, all the governments have suffered. We are impacted as well but are still in a better position. The government has no idea to impose the Lockdown going further. We urge the people to wear masks and follow physical distancing. We can control Coronavirus only with self-discipline,” he reiterated.

On the other side, Telangana added 518 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,05,309. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 157, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri and Rangareddy districts with 44 and 38 cases respectively.
