The finance minister of Telangana, Harish Rao has presented Telangana budget in the assembly today and here’s a brief report on the same.
Harish Rao presented a budget worth Rs 2.9 lakh crore and of the same, Rs 21,400 crores is from Center tax allocation. The excise revenue accounts for another Rs 19,884 crores. Sales taxes account for another Rs 39,500 crores.
The Telangana government allocated Rs 3000 crores for development of higher education in the state.
The home department is given Rs 9,500 crores while Harithaharam has been allocated Rs 17,400 crore. New jobs allocation is another Rs 1000 crore.
The finale department has been allocated another Rs 50,000 crore.
But there has been a report that the Telangana government hasn’t allocated any funds to fulfil the election promises.
