Telangana Budget Makes Major Allocations to Welfare and FarmersTelangana Government had put up a whopping budget of Rs 1,82,914 Crore for the financial year 2020-21. Finance Minister Harish Rao tabled the budget in the Assembly. The State Government allotted a Sensational 40,000 Crore for various Welfare Schemes.

As per the election promise, the age limit of old-age pensions will be decreased to 57 years from this fiscal. As a result, the pensions bill had increased to 11,758 Crore this year. 16,534.97 Crore was allotted for SC Sub-plan and another 9771,27 Crore was allotted to the ST Sub-Plan.

1,350 Crore is allotted for Minorities Welfare. Allocations were also increased the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak Schemes which now gets 1,350 Crore. For Zero-interest loans to women self-groups, 1,200 Crore was allotted. Another 2,650 Crore is allotted to Fees Reimbursement.

Huge allocations were made for the sake of farmers. 14,000 Crore was allotted to Raithu Bandhu Scheme. 1,141 Crore for the Five Lakh Rupees insurance scheme of farmers. 6,225 Crore is allocated to Raithu Runamafi. The Government will firstly waive off all the loans to the tune of 25,000 Rupees.
