Telangana Bill deadline today: Assembly tense

The deadline for discussion on Telangana Bill ends today. The house is expected to take voting on the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy’s resolution to reject the bill that creates the new state. However, Telangana People’s representatives are hell bent on preventing the resolution or voting in the house. They are constantly disrupting the proceedings of the house. On the other side, President of India did not decide on the extension of deadline as requested by the Chief Minister. Political Analysts say Center will exert pressure on him not to extend the dead line.

On the other side, Seema Andhra people’s representatives are trying their might to make the speaker place CM’s resolution in the house. They are also pressing for the voting on the bill. In this situation, the proceedings in the house became tense and huge number of Marshalls are deployed to handle any untoward incident. Unofficial restrictions are also imposed on media in Assembly even though the passes are issued.
