Telangana finance minister Harish Rao has presented the state budget for the year 2022-23 with an outlay of Rs 2,56,000 lakh crore. The government has allocated Rs 17,700 crore for its flagship program Dalit Bandhu scheme.
Meanwhile, the three MLAs of the BJP party – Raja Singh, Raghunandan Rao, and Eetala Rajender tried to block the budget speech of Harish. Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav proposed to suspend them.
The Speaker moved the motion and the House passed it. All three MLAs are suspended from the house for the rest of the session.
That means BJP will have no representation in the house for the crucial budget session. The MLAs sat in dharna after getting suspended. KCR is always known to be ruthless in the assembly and ensured the Opposition did not have a chance to take control of the assembly.
He is doing it even as it appears like he is facing anti-incumbency. “We may be only three members in the House but the entire state is on our side,” Eatala said after the suspension.
