Telangana GST Bill,  Telangana Assembly Ratifies Telangana GST Bill, KCR Ratifies Telangana GST Bill, Telangana CM KCR Ratifies Telangana GST BillTelangana state becomes the 10th state in the country to ratify the Goods Services Tax (GST) Bill. Telangana Assembly sat for a one day special session to ratify the bill and later both the houses of Telangana Assembly ratified the bill unanimously. The other Telugu State, Andhra Pradesh will ratify the bill in the session beginning first week of September.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao himself introduced the bill in Assembly while Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari introduced the bill in the council. KCR showered praises on the bill and Modi government on this occasion for the economic reforms. He termed that GST bill will bring long term benefit to the nation.

Parliament has successfully passed Goods and Services Tax (GST) much to the relief of the Central government. The Bill since is a constitutional amendment, have to be passed by at least half of the states in the country which means at least 15 states in the country have to pass the Bill.Central government is planning to bring the GST into effect from April 1st, 2017.
