telangana-assembly-digitalizeWe know that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to construct a new Assembly and Secretariat Building in Erragadda. On the other side, the state government is brainstorming on what to do with the existing Assembly building. The building is 100 years old and is recognized as Heritage Buildings.

There is no provision to dismantle heritage buildings. And so the government is thinking on the lines of converting it to a Museum. The state museum is near to the Assembly building, government is mulling the idea of making the new museum affliate to that or all together start a new museum to showcase Telangana heritage.

Telangana government is planning to call tenders for the new Assembly buildings very soon. Once the tenders are confirmed they are estimating that it should be complete in One and half years to two years. The new buildings are expected to cost 300 Crore to the state exchequer.
