In an interesting incident, the Income Tax Officials came knocking at a tea seller’s door after a video of him flaunting a huge amount of money went viral. The video had him counting bundles of cash worth Rs. 1 crore which was allegedly dowry for the wedding of his daughters.

The video was apparently shot earlier this month at the vidai ceremony of the wedding. In the video, Leela Ram Gujjar, who owns a tea stall at Haduata near Jaipur, is counting the cash while other villagers look on. He then proceeds to hand over the bundles of cash to families of the grooms of his six daughters. The video went viral and the Income Tax Department decided to take action.

Gujjar was summoned to the court on Tuesday to explain his source of income and how he raised thisamount of cash but he failed to show up. The police are also looking into the alleged dowry incident and child marriage since four of his daughters are underage.
