Telugu Desam Party‘s first Mini Mahanadu attended by Chandrababu Naidu in Rayalaseema is a massive success.
Huge crowd had attended the Mahanadu in Madanapalle surprising the political pandits. It is a surprise because it is of Chittoor district.
Chittoor has been the weakest district for Telugu Desam Party since 2019 elections. Only Chandrababu Naidu had won from Kuppam in the entire district in 2019.
The party’s problems in the district increased further after 2019. Peddireddy Rama Chandra Reddy had systematically destroyed TDP in the district with the power and financial muscle.
YSR Congress even vowed to defeat Naidu himself in 2024 and also won the local elections after that. TDP did not even have candidates to contest in many places in the local body elections.
A public meeting in such district drawing a huge crowd is only an indication of winds blowing in favor of TDP, Political experts say. Probably, the ruling party is being too blind to the growing anti-incumbency.
