Telugu Political parties – TDP, TRS, and YSR Congress are on the list of the richest regional parties in the country. The Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) has released a list of the top 10 parties in the country for the year 2018-19.
TDP is ranked fourth with assets worth Rs 193 crore, TRS sixth with assets worth Rs 188 crore, and YSR Congress eighth with assets worth Rs 93 crore. The party with the most assets in the country is the Samajwadi Party. The party topped the list with Rs 572 crore, followed by Naveen Patnaik-led BJD with Rs 232 crore.
Tamil Nadu-based AIADMK topped the list with Rs 206 crore. TDP has fixed deposits of Rs 115 crore, TRS Rs 152 crore and YSR Congress Rs 79 crore. However, TDP and JDS have announced liabilities of Rs 18 crore for their party for the 2018-19 financial year.
The BJP has declared assets of Rs 2,904.18 crore. This is 54.29 percent of the total assets disclosed by national parties. Congress has declared assets of Rs 928.24 crore. These are all declared assets and the actuals can be much higher and are naturally not declared.
