Ashok Gajapathi Raju - TDP- Jagan- SanchaitaAndhra Pradesh High Court has struck down the appointment of the chairperson of the Mansas and Simhachalam trusts. The court has issued orders revoking the orders issued by the government appointing Gajapathi Raju as the chairperson. It has also ordered the reappointment of former Union Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju as chairman of the Mansas Trust.

Ashok Gajapathi Raju has filed a petition in the High Court challenging the appointment of Sanchaita as the chairperson. The bench, after hearing the arguments of both the parties, passed a judgment to this effect. In March 2020, to checkmate the TDP veteran, Sanchaita the daughter of Ashok Gajapathi Raju’s late brother’s divorced wife was brought into the picture and was made the chairperson overnight.

Ashok Gajapathi Raju, who was the chairman at the time, was forced to resign. Ashok Gajapathi Raju then approached the High Court. The government, however, argued that the appointment was made in accordance with the rules.
