TDP Rajya Sabha MP TG Venkatesh hosted a lavish party just before a day when Rajya Sabha winter session ended and it was attended by about 56 MPs cutting across all party affiliations were in attendance for this private party.
Commerce minister Suresh Prabhu, aviation minister Ashok Gajapati Raju, minister of state for science Sujana Chowdary were also among those attended. TG reportedly promoted his son TG Bharat who is keen on contesting as an MLA from Kurnool in the next elections.
Kurnool District has become a forte for TDP after 2014 elections. The recent victory in Nandhyal by-election improved the party confidence while it demoralized the opposition party. So, there is an intense competition for TDP tickets there.
