TDP MPs Force Modi to Speak On AP for the First Time in ParliamentThe continuous protests of TDP MPs for the last couple of days in Parliament seems to have worked to some extent on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. For the first time after becoming the Prime Minister, Modi talked about the issues of Andhra Pradesh in the Parliament.

In his speech on the Thanks motion to President’s Address, Modi talked about how Congress insulted Telugu people and how it divided Andhra Pradesh for the electoral purpose. Modi also said that there are problems plaguing the state and also admitted that they are yet to be resolved.

YSR Congress MPs were not present in the house when the Prime Minister is addressing the house while TDP MPs have made some noise but gave due respect to the Prime Minister. Earlier in the day, Union Ministers have held talks with CM Chandrababu Naidu not to protest during Prime Minister’s Speech.

But then, Naidu did not give any assurance. Given that Modi did not announce anything concrete to the state, it has to be seen if the protests will go on. YSR Congress MPs are strategically protesting so as not to irk the BJP High Command.
