Late Yerannaidu’s daughter, Adireddy Bhavani contested and won from Rajamahendravaram Urban constituency in the 2019 elections.
Her husband Adireddy Srinivas is now keen on getting the seat.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Srinivas said that he will contest the forthcoming general elections as the TDP MLA candidate from Rajahmundry urban constituency.
“In the last election, the party leadership decided to give chance to women and so, I could not say anything. But this time, I will contest,” Srinivas told.
He also revealed that the party wants him to contest as Rajamundry MP but he could not afford to contest as an MP. “I am not interested to contest anywhere except for Rajahmundry Urban,” Srinivas said.
MLA Adireddy Bhavani also affirmed that her husband Srinivas will contest in the coming elections.
“He should have contested in the last election but Chandrababu announced my name a month before the elections,” he said.
Adireddy Bhavani won the seat with a whopping 30K+ votes majority.
Adireddy Srinivas is TDP’s State Executive Secretary and son of former MLC Adireddy Apparao.
