Telugu Desam Party annual conclave may happen in Rayalaseema this time. The other day this was discussed in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Chandrababu Naidu. Usually, Gandipet used to host Mahanadu but this time it will happen in Andhra Pradesh. Vijayawada is also considered as an option.
But the CM is of the opinion that Rayalaseema Mahanadu will be a test of strength to the party there and will also rejuvenate the cadre there. We have already seen TDP putting all efforts to decimate YSR Congress in Rayalaseema which is a forte for them. Tirupati, Kurnool and Anantapur are considered as possible venues.
Ministers have opined that Tirupati should be easy to make arrangements easy and faster. However a final decision on this will be taken in the party’s polit bureau meeting. Last year, Mahanadu happened in Telangana. Mahanadu is usually a three day conclave on May 27, 28 and 29 on the occasion of Party’s founder, NT Rama Rao Jayanthi.
