TDP leads MPTC Elections

Telugu Desam Party clearly leads in the Unanimous MPTC seats in the Seema Andhra region. 269 MPTCs were elected unanimously in the 13 districts of the region. Out of which TDP bagged 105 while YSR Congress is in the second place with 70. Congress Party which received severe blows in the region due to state bifurcation had to content with just 6 seats. CPI and CPM managed to get 2 seats each while BJP just managed one.

YSR Congress got more seats than Telugu Desam in Prakasam, Chittoor, Kadapa and Kurnool while TDP leads the tally in all the remaining 9 districts. YSR Congress did not open its account in Anantapur district. The results of this elections are very crucial as they reflect the polling pattern in the next General elections. So, all the parties are trying their might to stamp their authority in this elections.
