YSR Congress MLA, Roja managed to get a relief from Hyderabad High Court in the one year suspension she got from the Andhra Pradesh. Many perceive this as a setback to the ruling party. But TDP still has a hidden good news in this entire episode. But the good news is for the party’s other branch, TDP (TS).
With Telangana Rashtra Samiti almost trying to engulf TDP (TS), the party is looking clueless in the new state. Already TRS managed to engulf 12 TDP (TS) MLAs and even got the party merged in to TRSLP. There are reports that TRS is looking to take over all the properties and assets of the party in TDP.
High court’s judgement in Roja’s case revealed that Courts will not totally aloof from the proceedings in Assembly. Roja’s judgement will give more confidence to TDP (TS) leaders to take up a legal battle against the ruling party. We will have to see if that ends the struggle of TDP (TS) in the new state.
