The 2019 Electoral Defeat underlined the need for infusing the young and energetic in the Telugu Desam party ranks. TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu started looking in that direction. However, one interview doing rounds in social media has become the talk of political circles.
The interview is that of none other than TDP Vishakapatnam Parliament in charge and GITAM University Chairman, M Bharath. He stormed the limelight after the YSR Congress Government tried to demolish some constructions in the University in the name of encroachments.
Bharath spoke at length on some crucial issues like the three capitals, the introduction of English Medium in Government Schools, Defections from TDP, etc. All his arguments sounded very sensible. These clips have gone viral on social media and many social media users even felt that he is crystal clear in his opinion than any other TDP leader including Chandrababu Naidu.
It looks like someone like Bharath is necessary to represent TDP in the National media and even in Regional media quite often. A face like Bharath will also influence the young voters towards the party. Probably, Bharath’s busy schedule and the fears of Nepotism allegations may have prevented Chandrababu from doing that.
But then, it is high time Chandrababu takes such a tough call which will help rebuild the party more than anything else.
