Tata-Power-in-Andhra-pradeshPopular Corporate Giant, Tata Power evinced its interest to explore the investment opportunities in Wind Power. Tata Power is planning to take up the existing projects in the state or even interested in setting up new projects in the state. Tata Power already invested heavily in Wind Power in states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Tata Power is generating 511 MW from all these units and the company is planning to expand its investments in Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh now. Tata Power representatives will be meeting Andhra Pradesh officials very soon with the detailed proposals of their plans.

The projects are likely to come up in Rayalaseema. Chandrababu Naidu government is keen on increasing the Power availability in the truncated state since the state bifurcation. The government is keen on expanding the Power generation especially through non conventional sources. The Chief Minister is already appreciated for steadying the power problems in the state and is giving non-stop power to the state even in Summer.
