Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has tabled the Union Budget for 2022-23 in the Parliament the other day. Andhra Pradesh government has expected around 23,000 Crore allocations from the budget in the name of Polavaram and other Bifurcation projects. But then, there are zero allocations to AP.
The budget is a big disappointment for every person who wishes good for the state but as usual, AP lacks the leadership which will question the Center. Opposition Leader Chandrababu Naidu is the only big leader to have expressed his disappointment over the budget. Naidu has released a statement to that effect.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who dropped the Special Status demand right after becoming the Chief Minister got silent completely. Jagan and BJP have come to an understanding. There are rumors that YSRCP will field a candidate recommended by BJP in the upcoming Rajya Sabha election and will support BJP’s candidate in the President election.
Meanwhile, social media says that Pawan Kalyan is even worse than Jagan in this aspect. A few hours after the budget is out, Janasena Party released a Press note titled ‘Attempt To Strengthen The Economy – Pawan Kalyan’. He went on to write, “It is a bit disappointing since there are no allocations to AP and Telangana but….” continued singing praises on the Central Government.
“If Jagan’s response or attitude on this issue is bad, Pawan Kalyan’s response is worse than that. He should have stayed mum if he can not question or criticize the Modi Government,” people are criticizing on social media.
