While Andhra Pradesh Government is trying to downplay the Coronavirus scare, the threat is slowly increasing for the state. We already knew the case of a patient in Nellore and now one more case is suspected and is kept under isolation in Anantapur district.
A 32-year-old Russian national who arrived in the country after visiting Thailand and Malaysia and via Kerala shifted at Quarantine ward in Anantapur. He is said to be a devotee of Satya Sai Baba and was staying at Prasanthi Nilayam at Puttaparthy and developed suspected Coronavirus symptoms.
His samples were collected and are being sent to the COVID-19 Testing Lab in Tirupati. If they confirm Positive, the samples will be sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune for reconfirmation. On the other side, the total cases in the country touched 110.
Telangana so far registered two cases. One of the patients has fully recovered and discharge. He will be in home quarantine for two weeks. The other patient is being treated in the isolation ward of Gandhi Hospital. Telangana Government had decided to turn GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Gachibowli as Quarantine center.
The stadium with 5000 people capacity will turn into a 50-bed Coronavirus isolation center in the next 2 days.
