External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj made her first public appearance today, after the Kidney transplantation that she has undergone in December. She is all energetic and it is good to see her speaking in parliament after about four months.
She received a warm welcome by her colleagues in Lok Sabha where the house members clapped for her return and recovery. The minister focussed on the series of hate crimes that have taken place in the last couple of months. She has replied back to the comments made by Kharge and Mohammed Salim that government is silent on the US attacks.
Sushma Swaraj said that she has been working the issues though she was in the recovery period when the unfortunate incidents happened. She has also listed down the supportive actions taken by the ministry to the US hate crime victims and their families and assured that the government won’t take things easily when an Indian is in any sort of trouble.
