You book a cab and sometimes the cab driver would cancel your ride without notice. That is fine, but what if you were charged for the same ride that you haven’t got? that too Rs. 149 Crores! Yes, this has actually happened with this poor guy from Mumbai.
Sushil Narsian was shocked to see that ola has charged him such a huge amount for a ride that he booked from Mulund West to Vakola Market which is about 22 KM. Even if it was the peak time, the amount shouldn’t have crossed 500 bucks. On top of that, Sushil actually did not get the ride. The driver didn’t show up at the point and Sushil got to know that driver canceled the ride.
Sushil then tried to book another cab which couldn’t do as the app was showing him an outstanding amount of Rs. 1,49,10,51,648! and the company deducted Rs. 127 from his mobile wallet. However, the company upon informed by Sushil has refunded that amount and fixed the issue.
As all of this has happened on April 1, Sushil thought it was a prank of April fool, but the company confirmed that it is a technical glitch and has offered a discount on his next 25 rides till May 31st.
