TDP YSRCP Andhra Pradesh TRS Telangana VDP Associates SurveyA survey by VDP Associates says that the ruling parties in both the Telugu States continue to dominate even after two and half years in power. In Andhra Pradesh, TDP is conveniently at the top with 45%. YSR Congress is in second with 39%. Things did not seem to have changed very much in two and half years even though TDP gained marginally. Congress Party is reeling under the bottom of the table with a meager 3%.

In Telangana, TRS further consolidated its position taking away a whopping 51% votes share, which indicates the party is growing strength to strength after 2014 elections. The main opposition Congress Party managed to secure its second place with 17%. TDP-BJP combine is a yard behind the Congress with 15% Vote Share.

The survey indicates that both the ruling parties managed to keep the people happy. Both the ruling parties have gained immensely due to the lack of proper opposition. There is a total dearth of vocal opposition in Telangana while the opposition in Andhra Pradesh lacks the credibility in the people. But then YSR Congress is lucky to have some sections of loyal voters in its side.

TRS seem to be set for another term in 2019 elections unless something drastic happens while Jana Sena may prove to be decisive in Andhra Pradesh as there is a little difference between the ruling and the opposition parties. Jana Sena may swing the result in either way with its stand if the situation continues.
