modi visit to statePrime Minister Narendra Modi is yet to come to Andhra Pradesh post the 2014 elections except for that hurried Hudhud visit. However sources in Andhra Pradesh government tells us that the Prime Minister is likely to visit the state in the second half of the year. Modi is likely to visit the truncated state for Godavari Pushkaralu or for laying foundation stone for the capital.

It is said that the Prime Minister will announce some special package for the truncated state during his visit. BJP high command feels that it is the best time for the party to make an impact on AP public as Modi’s visit and announcement will garner more public and media attention.

“AP may even get Special Status or equally strong industrial incentives. A fund for the capital construction is also in the offering”, tells us a higher official in AP CMO. The state government already extended official invitation for Godavari Pushkaralu and invitation for the Capital Foundation stone will be forwarded after the Master Plan is approved.
