Gali Janardhan Reddy Supreme Court struck down the petition of Gali Janardhan Reddy requesting relaxation of Bail terms.

The Supreme Court ordered daily hearings of the cases asking the CBI Court to commence the trial immediately. The Apex Court asked the CBI Court to complete the trial in six months.

The bench comprising of Justice MR Shah and Justice Krishna Murari did not consider Gali’s plea to allow him to go to Bellary. It has allowed him to Bellary for one month.

Gali’s cases pertains to illegal mining in Andhra Pradesh – Karnataka border. The then YS Rajasekhar Reddy Government is also accused of being hand in glove to Gali on this issue.

But the cases have been slowed significantly in the recent years after BJP came to power in Delhi. This latest order of the Supreme Court will accelerate the cases now.

It has to be seen if these cases will have implications on Andhra Pradesh Politics as well.
