YS-Jagan-Supreme-CourtThe other day, Supreme Court has become serious about the delay in Gaali Janardhan Reddys cases. The Apex court questioned the CBI court about how the cases are not solved for more than 12 years.

The court asked the CBI court to divulge the case progress and reasons for the delay in a sealed cover by the 20th of this month.

The cases on Gaali Janardhan Reddy date back to 2009. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets cases also date to the same year.

The accused in the cases are delayed the trial by filing petitions one after the other. So the trial did not begin yet in all the cases.

The Chief Minister himself did not appear before the court in a single hearing after coming to power. It is clear that attempts are being made to delay the cases as much as possible.

So, very soon, we may expect similar questions from the Supreme Court to the CBI Court in Nampally. That can be trouble for Jagan with elections fast approaching.

Jagan is the Accused No 1 in 11 CBI Charge Sheets and Five ED Charge Sheets filed so far in his disproportionate assets cases.

Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy is accused No 2 in most cases. Some cases also have Jagan’s wife Bharathi as the accused.
